Journal of Drug Issues (JDI) is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the field of substance abuse, including the areas of drug policy, drug addiction, drug use, and related topics. The journal's editor is Scott P. Novak (RTI International). It has been in publication since 1971 and is currently published by SAGE Publications.

The Journal of Drug Issues was first published in 1971. It was established to provide a professional and scholarly forum centered on the national and international problems associated with drugs, especially illicit drugs. It is a refereed international journal that provides a professional forum for the dissemination of original research, scholarly reviews, and theoretical articles on drug use and misuse.
