Juan Carlos García (8 March 1988 – 8 January 2018) was a Honduran professional footballer who played as a left-back. García was well-known for his tenure with C.D. Olimpia, one of the most popular and successful clubs in Honduras. His career was marked by his defensive skills, versatility on the field, and the tragic early end to his life due to illness.

García began his professional career with C.D. Marathón in 2007, before moving to C.D. Olimpia in 2010. At Olimpia, he became a key player, helping the team to win multiple national championships. His performances in the domestic league and in international competitions like the CONCACAF Champions League caught the attention of scouts from European clubs.

In 2013, García moved to England to play for Wigan Athletic, then a member of the Championship. Although his time at Wigan was limited by appearances, it marked a significant step in his career as he joined the ranks of Honduran players competing in European football.

Juan Carlos García was also a regular member of the Honduras national football team, earning over 30 caps since his debut in 2009. He represented his country in various international tournaments, including the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Tragically, García's career and life were cut short when he was diagnosed with leukemia. After battling the disease for several years, he passed away on 8 January 2018, at the age of 29.
