Köstritzer
Köstritzer is a German brewery located in Bad Köstritz, Thuringia, Germany. It is one of the oldest breweries in Germany, with a history dating back to 1543. Köstritzer is best known for its dark beer, Köstritzer Schwarzbier, which is a type of Schwarzbier.

The Köstritzer brewery was founded in 1543 in the town of Bad Köstritz. Over the centuries, it has become renowned for its high-quality beers, particularly its Schwarzbier. The brewery survived various historical events, including the Thirty Years' War, the Napoleonic Wars, and both World Wars. In 1991, after the reunification of Germany, Köstritzer became part of the Bitburger Braugruppe.
