Kelso, Tennessee

Kelso is a small unincorporated community located in Lincoln County, Tennessee, United States. It is part of the Fayetteville, Tennessee Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is included in the Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin, Tennessee Combined Statistical Area.

Kelso was established in the early 19th century and was named after Kelso, Scotland. The community was originally centered around a mill, which was a significant part of the local economy. The mill was destroyed by a fire in the late 19th century, but the community continued to thrive.

Kelso is located in the southern part of Lincoln County, near the Alabama state line. The community is situated in a rural area, surrounded by farmland and rolling hills. The Elk River flows near Kelso, providing a source of water for the community.
