Kenansville is a town located in the United States, specifically in North Carolina. It is the county seat of Duplin County, and as of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 855.

Kenansville was founded in the early 19th century and was named after James Kenan, a member of the North Carolina General Assembly and a prominent local landowner. The town was incorporated in 1852.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Kenansville is located in the southeastern part of North Carolina. It is approximately 55 miles north of Wilmington and 80 miles southeast of Raleigh. The town is primarily rural, with agriculture being a major industry.
