Kessel Food Markets was a chain of supermarkets based in Michigan, United States. The company was founded by Al Kessel in 1981 and became known for its customer service and community involvement. Kessel Food Markets operated primarily in the Flint and Saginaw areas.

Kessel Food Markets was established in 1981 by Al Kessel, who had previously worked for the Hamady Brothers grocery chain. The first store was opened in Flint, Michigan, and the chain quickly expanded to other locations in Michigan. By the mid-1990s, Kessel Food Markets had grown to include several stores across the state.

In 1999, Kessel Food Markets was acquired by Kroger, one of the largest supermarket chains in the United States. Following the acquisition, many of the Kessel stores were rebranded as Kroger locations, although some retained the Kessel name for a period of time.
