Khalid A. Al-Falih was born in Saudi Arabia. He pursued his higher education in the field of mechanical engineering and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

Saudi Aramco[edit | edit source]
Al-Falih joined Saudi Aramco in 1979 and held various technical and managerial positions within the company. In 2009, he was appointed as the President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, a position he held until 2015. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in expanding the company's operations and enhancing its global presence.

In 2015, Al-Falih was appointed as the Minister of Health (Saudi Arabia). He later served as the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources (Saudi Arabia) from 2016 to 2019. In 2020, he was appointed as the Minister of Investment (Saudi Arabia), a role in which he continues to serve.
