Kiboga General Hospital

Kiboga General Hospital is a public hospital located in Kiboga, a town in the Central Region of Uganda. The hospital is administered by the Uganda Ministry of Health and is one of the major health facilities in the country.

Kiboga General Hospital is situated in the town of Kiboga, approximately 124 kilometers (77 miles) by road, northwest of Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda. The geographical coordinates of the hospital are: 0°55'12.0"N, 31°46'12.0"E.

Kiboga General Hospital is a public hospital, funded by the government of Uganda. It is one of the general hospitals in Uganda that provide healthcare to the population, even those who cannot afford to pay for healthcare services. The hospital provides general medical services, including maternity care, surgery, pediatrics, and emergency medicine.

The hospital offers a range of services including Outpatient consultation, Inpatient care, surgery, laboratory services, maternity services, immunization, HIV/AIDS care, and tuberculosis treatment. It also provides health education to the community.

Challenges[edit | edit source]

Like many public hospitals in Uganda, Kiboga General Hospital faces several challenges including inadequate funding, shortage of medical supplies, and a high patient-to-doctor ratio. Despite these challenges, the hospital continues to provide essential healthcare services to the population.
