History[edit | edit source]

Lara Merriken, a former junk food junkie turned fitness enthusiast, founded Lärabar in 2003. She was inspired to create a healthy snack that didn't compromise on taste after a hiking trip in the Colorado Rockies. The first Lärabar was made in her kitchen using a food processor and a rolling pin. Today, Lärabar is a popular choice among health-conscious consumers and is available in a variety of flavors.
