Lake district
Lake District is a region in North West England known for its picturesque lakes, mountains, and historic literary associations. It is the most visited national park in the United Kingdom and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.

The Lake District is located entirely within the county of Cumbria. It is characterized by a series of lakes, valleys, and mountains formed by glaciation. The largest lake, Windermere, is 10.5 miles long and more than 200 feet deep. The highest mountain, Scafell Pike, stands at 3,209 feet.
