  • Lauderdale County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the population was 27,815. Its county seat is Ripley. Lauderdale County is part of the Memphis, TN-MS-AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the third largest county in Tennessee and named for Lieutenant Colonel James Lauderdale who was killed at the Battle of New Orleans.
