- Leesburg is a city in Lee County, Georgia, United States. The city is the county seat of Lee County and is part of the Albany, Georgia metropolitan area. Leesburg is known for its small-town charm, rich history, and southern hospitality.

- Leesburg was originally called Wooten Station, and under the latter name was laid out in 1870 when the railroad was extended to that point. The present name is after Stephen Mallory White Lees, a railroad official.

- Leesburg is located in the southwestern part of Georgia, approximately 25 miles north of Albany. The city is characterized by its flat topography, typical of coastal plains.
