Leffe
Leffe is a premium beer brand owned by InBev Belgium, the European operating arm of the global Anheuser–Busch InBev brewery. It is brewed in large quantities and is widely distributed. The brand includes several different types of beer, including Leffe Blonde, Leffe Brune, Leffe Triple, and others.

The Leffe brand traces its origins back to the Abbey of Leffe, a Premonstratensian monastery located in the town of Dinant, in the Walloon region of Belgium. The monks of the abbey began brewing beer in the 13th century, and the tradition continued until the abbey was suppressed during the French Revolution. The brand was revived in the 20th century and is now produced on a large scale.
Types of Leffe Beer[edit | edit source]
There are several types of Leffe beer, each with its own distinct characteristics.
- Leffe Blonde: A pale abbey beer, with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Its rich and complex taste is due to the use of different types of malt.
- Leffe Brune: A dark abbey beer, with a deep brown colour. It has a full, slightly sweet and fruity aroma, a nutty taste and creamy head.
- Leffe Triple: A full-bodied beer with a deep golden colour. It has a rich, complex taste and a strong aroma.
Brewing Process[edit | edit source]
Leffe beers are brewed using traditional methods that have been passed down through the centuries. The brewing process involves the use of malted barley, hops, yeast, and water. The ingredients are mixed together and then fermented at a controlled temperature. The beer is then aged before it is filtered and packaged.
