Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises (LEYE) is a restaurant group based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1971 by Richard Melman and Jerry A. Orzoff, the company has grown to become one of the largest and most successful restaurant groups in the United States.

Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises was established with the opening of its first restaurant, R.J. Grunts, in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. The concept of R.J.
