- Liberty is a small city located in the northwest corner of the state of South Carolina, United States. It is part of Pickens County and is known for its rich history and southern charm. The city is named after the American concept of liberty.

- The city of Liberty was chartered in 1876 and has a history that dates back to the mid-18th century. It was originally a stagecoach stop, and the area was settled by Scotch-Irish and English settlers who moved south from Virginia and North Carolina.

- Liberty is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is approximately 30 miles west of Greenville and 30 miles east of Clemson. The city covers a total area of 4.4 square miles, all of it land.
