This is a comprehensive list of drugs that start with the letters S through Sd. This list includes both generic and brand names of pharmaceuticals.

  • Salbutamol - A medication that opens up the medium and large airways in the lungs. It is used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

  • Simvastatin - A lipid-lowering medication that is used to control elevated cholesterol or hypercholesterolemia.
  • Sildenafil - A medication used to treat erectile dysfunction and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
  • Spironolactone - A medication that is primarily used to treat fluid build-up due to heart failure, liver scarring, or kidney disease.

  • Sacubitril/valsartan - A combination drug used for the treatment of heart failure.
  • Salicylic acid - A medication used to help remove the outer layer of the skin. It is used to treat warts, psoriasis, acne, ringworm, and ichthyosis.

  • Saxagliptin - An oral diabetes medication that helps control blood sugar levels. It works by regulating the levels of insulin your body produces after eating.

  • Scopolamine - A medication used to treat motion sickness and postoperative nausea and vomiting.

Sd[edit | edit source]

  • Sodium bicarbonate - A medication and antacid used to treat acid indigestion and heartburn.
