List of researchers in underwater diving

List of researchers in underwater diving is a compilation of individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of underwater diving. These researchers have advanced our understanding of the underwater environment, diving physiology, and diving technology.

Researchers[edit | edit source]

  • Jacques Cousteau - A French naval officer, explorer, conservationist, filmmaker, innovator, scientist, photographer, author and researcher who studied the sea and all forms of life in water. He co-developed the Aqua-Lung, pioneered marine conservation and was a member of the Académie française.
  • John Scott Haldane - A British physiologist famous for intoducing the concept of half-time in decompression theory and for his work on the physiological effects of diving.
  • George F. Bond - An American physician, known as "father of saturation diving". He developed the U.S. Navy's SEALAB program.
