Lod score method
Lod score method is a statistical technique used in genetic linkage analysis to evaluate the probability of a particular gene or genetic marker being located near a specific chromosome region. The term "LOD" stands for "Logarithm of the Odds." This method calculates the odds ratio in favor of linkage versus the odds of no linkage between two genetic loci, based on observed genetic segregation patterns in families.
