- Lowell, Michigan is a city located in Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city is situated in the western part of the state and is part of the Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 3,783.

- Lowell was founded as a trading post on the Grand River in 1831 by Daniel Marsac. In 1851, the city was incorporated and named after Lowell, Massachusetts, by one of the first settlers, Abel Avery.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Lowell is located at the mouth of the Flat River, where it joins the Grand River. The downtown area of Lowell sits at the southeast end of the city, near the confluence of the two rivers.
