Luca Maestri
Luca Maestri is an Italian businessman, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Senior Vice President of Apple Inc., a multinational technology company based in the United States. He assumed the role in 2014, succeeding Peter Oppenheimer.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Luca Maestri was born in Rome, Italy. He pursued his higher education at Luiss University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Later, he moved to the United States to attend Boston University, where he received a Master's degree in Business Administration.
Career[edit | edit source]
Before joining Apple Inc., Maestri held several high-ranking positions in various multinational companies. He started his career at General Motors (GM), where he worked for 20 years. During his tenure at GM, he served in several financial and operational roles across the globe, including CFO for all of GM's operations in Europe, which is located in over 45 countries with revenues of approximately $40 billion.
In 2008, Maestri left GM to become the CFO and executive vice president at Nokia Siemens Networks in Munich. He then moved to Xerox Corporation in 2011, where he served as CFO before joining Apple Inc. in 2013 as its vice president of Finance and corporate controller.
In 2014, Maestri was promoted to the position of CFO at Apple Inc., succeeding Peter Oppenheimer. As CFO, Maestri is responsible for the company's financial health, including its financial planning and analysis, accounting, business support, treasury, real estate, investor relations, internal audit and tax functions.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Maestri is known for his privacy and keeps a low profile outside of his professional life. He is fluent in several languages, including English, Italian, and French.
