Lurana W. Sheldon
Lurana W. Sheldon (1862–1945) was an American author, journalist, and editor known for her prolific output of popular fiction in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She wrote under her own name as well as several pseudonyms, including Rita and Grace Shirley.

Lurana W. Sheldon was born in Hadlyme, Connecticut in 1862. She was educated in local schools and developed an early interest in writing.

Sheldon began her career as a journalist, contributing to various newspapers and magazines. She quickly gained a reputation for her engaging writing style and soon transitioned to writing fiction.
