Lutherville is a historic community located in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. Situated just north of Baltimore City, Lutherville is known for its charming neighborhoods, rich history, and close-knit community.

Lutherville was founded in 1852 by John Morris, a prominent Baltimore merchant. Originally named "Lutherville-Timonium" after Lutheranism and the nearby Timonium estate, the community was established as a summer resort for Baltimore residents seeking relief from the city's heat and congestion.
Over the years, Lutherville grew into a thriving residential area, attracting families and professionals alike. Many of the original Victorian-era homes still stand today, contributing to the area's unique architectural character.

Lutherville is located at coordinates 39°25′26″N 76°37′38″W. It is bordered by the communities of Timonium to the north, Towson to the east, and Ruxton to the west. The community covers an area of approximately 3 square miles.
