Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

The Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS; Taman Ekspo Pertanian Malaysia Serdang) is a convention center located in the Sepang District of Selangor, Malaysia. It is the largest agro park in Malaysia and Asia, serving as a venue for meetings, conferences, and exhibitions related to agriculture, horticulture, and agrotourism.

Situated south of the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute, MAEPS covers 368 acres of land and features four halls (Halls A to D). The design of the buildings and outdoor spaces aims to showcase the surrounding landscape.

One of the notable events held at MAEPS is the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture, and Agrotourism Show (MAHA), which takes place every two years. The park also played a significant role during the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia, as it was converted into a makeshift hospital known as the COVID-19 Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre.

MAEPS has been operational since April 2020, providing treatment for low-risk COVID-19 patients. In addition to its role as a convention center, MAEPS continues to serve as a venue for various events and exhibitions related to agriculture and horticulture.
