Manahawkin is a census-designated place located in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. It is situated in the southern part of the state and is part of Stafford Township. Manahawkin is known for its proximity to the Jersey Shore and its vibrant community.

The name "Manahawkin" is derived from the Lenape Native American word meaning "land of good corn." The area was originally inhabited by the Lenape tribe before European settlers arrived in the 18th century. The town grew as a farming community and later became a popular destination for summer vacationers.
