Mannochmore distillery

Mannochmore Distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery located in Elgin, Moray, Scotland. It was established in 1971 by John Haig & Co, a subsidiary of Distillers Company Limited (DCL). The distillery is currently owned by Diageo, a British multinational alcoholic beverages company.

The Mannochmore Distillery was built in 1971 by John Haig & Co, a subsidiary of Distillers Company Limited (DCL). The distillery was built to meet the increasing demand for blended Scotch whisky. The distillery was closed in 1985 due to an oversupply of whisky. However, it was reopened in 1989 and has been in operation ever since.

Production[edit | edit source]

The Mannochmore Distillery uses traditional methods of whisky production. The distillery has a capacity of 3.2 million litres of alcohol per year. The whisky is matured in a combination of American oak and Sherry casks. The distillery produces both single malt whisky and whisky for blending.

Products[edit | edit source]

The Mannochmore Distillery is known for its 12-year-old single malt whisky, which is part of the Flora and Fauna series. The distillery also produces a 25-year-old single malt whisky. In addition, the distillery produces whisky for blending, which is used in brands such as Haig, Dimple, and Black & White.
