Mark A. Murray (born May 15, 1950) is an American university administrator known for his tenure as the president of Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Allendale, Michigan. His leadership in higher education and his contributions to the development of GVSU have been widely recognized.

Mark Murray was born in San Francisco, California, and raised in Michigan. He attended Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He later pursued a Master of Business Administration from the same institution, focusing on public administration and finance.

Before entering academia, Murray held various positions in the public sector. He worked for the State of Michigan in several capacities, including as the State Budget Director and the Director of the Department of Management and Budget. In 2001, Mark Murray was appointed as the president of Grand Valley State University.
