Marshall County is a county located in the U.S. state of South Dakota. As of the 2010 census, the population was 4,656. Its county seat is Britton. The county was created in 1885 and organized in 1889. It is named for Marshall Vincent, an early settler.

Marshall County spans an area of 886 square miles, of which 838 square miles is land and 48 square miles is water. The terrain of Marshall County consists of rolling hills, dotted with lakes and ponds, and dedicated to agriculture.
