Matt Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery located in Utica, New York. It is one of the oldest breweries in the United States, having been founded in 1888 by Francis Xavier Matt I. The company is known for producing a variety of beers under the Saranac brand name.

The Matt Brewing Company was established in 1888 by Francis Xavier Matt I, a German immigrant. The brewery survived Prohibition by producing soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages. After Prohibition ended, the company resumed beer production and has continued to operate as a family-owned business.
