- Mattapoisett Center is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Mattapoisett, in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 3,267 at the 2010 census. The town is located on the western shore of Buzzards Bay, and is bordered on the west by Fairhaven, on the north by Rochester, and on the east by Marion.

- Mattapoisett was settled in 1750 and officially incorporated in 1857. Originally a part of Rochester, the area had most likely been visited by European traders and fishermen in the 1600s. The name Mattapoisett is Wampanoag for "place of resting".
