Meantime Brewery is a British brewery company based in Greenwich, London. It was established in the year 2000 by Alastair Hook, a brewer trained in the traditional methods of beer brewing. The brewery is known for its wide range of beers, including London Lager, London Pale Ale, and Yakima Red.

History

Alastair Hook founded Meantime Brewery with the aim of brewing distinct and flavourful beers. The brewery was named after the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which is a time standard originally set up in the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. In 2015, the brewery was sold to SABMiller, a multinational brewing and beverage company. However, in 2016, due to a merger between SABMiller and Anheuser-Busch InBev, the brewery was sold to Asahi Breweries of Japan.

Beers

Meantime Brewery produces a variety of beers, each with its unique taste and flavour. Some of the popular beers include:

• London Lager: This is a traditional lager with a crisp and clean flavour. It is brewed using East Anglian malt and Kentish hops.

• London Pale Ale: This beer is brewed using a blend of modern and traditional techniques. It has a fruity and hoppy flavour.

• Yakima Red: Named after the Yakima Valley in Washington State, this beer is brewed using five different hop varieties. It has a rich and malty flavour.

Brewery Tours
