MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital

MedStar National Rehabilitation Network (MedStar NRH) is a specialized rehabilitation hospital located in Washington, D.C. It is part of the MedStar Health system, the largest non-profit healthcare organization in the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore region.

MedStar NRH focuses on treating individuals with physical disabilities, including spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, arthritis, amputation, multiple sclerosis, post-polio syndrome, orthopedic conditions, and other neurological conditions.

The hospital was founded in 1986 by Edward A. Eckenhoff and has since expanded into the MedStar National Rehabilitation Network. The network offers a range of programs, including inpatient, outpatient, and day treatment services. Annually, the network provides over 350,000 ambulatory visits and admits more than 2,200 inpatients. To date, MedStar NRH has admitted over 35,000 inpatients and provided over 2 million outpatient visits.
