Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore
Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore is a public hospital located in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland. It is managed by the Ireland East Hospital Group.

The hospital was established as the King's County Infirmary in 1788. It moved to its current site in 1942 and joined the Midland Health Board in 1970. The hospital was extensively redeveloped and reopened as the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore in 2007.
Services[edit | edit source]
The hospital provides 343 beds, of which 27 are reserved for day cases. Services provided include general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, anaesthetics, emergency medicine, and intensive care.
Performance[edit | edit source]
The hospital was criticised in a report by the Health Information and Quality Authority in 2012 for its poor hygiene standards. However, it has since made significant improvements and was commended in a follow-up report in 2014.
