Mitch Greenlick bw (cropped)
Mitch Greenlick (August 20, 1935 – May 15, 2020) was an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party . He served as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives , representing District 33 from 2003 until his death in 2020.
Greenlick was born in Detroit, Michigan . He earned a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from Wayne State University in 1957 and a Ph.D. in medical care organization from the University of Michigan in 1967.
Before entering politics, Greenlick had a distinguished career in health services research. He was the director of the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research from 1964 to 1995. He also served as a professor at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
Greenlick was first elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2002. During his tenure, he was known for his work on health care policy, including efforts to expand access to health care and improve public health. He was a strong advocate for universal health care and played a key role in the passage of several significant health care reforms in Oregon.
Greenlick sponsored numerous bills aimed at improving public health and health care access. Some of his notable legislative efforts include:

Efforts to expand mental health services. Greenlick was married to Harriet Greenlick, and they had three children. He was an active member of his community and was involved in various civic and charitable organizations.
Mitch Greenlick passed away on May 15, 2020, at the age of 84.
Greenlick's contributions to health care policy and public health in Oregon have left a lasting impact. He is remembered as a dedicated public servant who worked tirelessly to improve the lives of his constituents.
