- Morgan County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2010 census, the population was 28,159. The county seat is Fort Morgan. Morgan County is part of the Fort Morgan, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Morgan County covers 1,293 square miles in the northeastern part of Colorado. It is bordered by Weld County to the west, Logan County to the north, Washington County to the east, and Adams County to the south.

- Healthcare in Morgan County is primarily provided by two main facilities: Colorado Plains Medical Center and East Morgan County Hospital.
Colorado Plains Medical Center[edit | edit source]
- Colorado Plains Medical Center is a 50-bed acute-care hospital, fully accredited by The Joint Commission. With a Level III Trauma Center, a 24-hour Emergency Room and many other services, the hospital chiefly serves a two-county area of 35,000.
East Morgan County Hospital[edit | edit source]
- East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, Colorado is licensed by the state and certified by Medicare as a 25-bed critical-access hospital. Designated as a Level IV Trauma Center, East Morgan includes a 24-hour emergency room, two surgical suites, and several specialty clinics.

- According to the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program, Morgan County is ranked 42nd in health outcomes out of the 64 counties in Colorado. The county has a relatively high percentage of adult smokers and obese adults, but a lower percentage of uninsured individuals compared to the state average.
