Naburn Hospital was a mental health facility located in Naburn, North Yorkshire, England. It was established in 1906 as the York Borough Asylum and later became known as the York City Mental Hospital. In 1948, it joined the National Health Service and was renamed Naburn Hospital.
The hospital was initially built on the grounds of Acres House, a property dating back to 1774. Over the years, the facility expanded with the acquisition of Naburn Lodge Farm in 1913. However, with the introduction of Care in the Community in the 1980s, the hospital experienced a decline and eventually closed its doors in February 1988.
Most of the hospital buildings were demolished, and the site was redeveloped into the York Designer Outlet Centre. However, Acres House, one part of the hospital, still stands today.
