Nasrettinhoca, formerly known as Hortu, is a quaint town nestled within the picturesque landscape of the Sivrihisar district in Turkey. Perched along the banks of a tributary of the Sakarya River, Nasrettinhoca boasts a rich historical heritage and serene natural surroundings. Located just 26 kilometres (16 mi) away from Sivrihisar and 116 kilometres (72 mi) from Eskişehir, this charming town offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
With a population of 610 as of 2012, Nasrettinhoca retains its small-town charm while serving as a beacon of cultural significance. The town derives its name from the renowned Turkish folk philosopher and satirist, Nasrettin Hoca, who left an indelible mark on the region during the 13th century.
