From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Nestea is a brand of iced tea and cold beverage solutions owned by Nestlé and manufactured by The Coca-Cola Company. It was first introduced by Nestlé in Switzerland in 1948 and has since expanded to be available in over 100 countries worldwide.

History[edit | edit source]

Nestea was first introduced by Nestlé in 1948 in Switzerland. The brand was a result of Nestlé's continuous efforts to diversify their product range beyond their traditional milk-based products. The introduction of Nestea marked Nestlé's entry into the beverage market.

In 2003, Nestea became a joint venture between Nestlé and The Coca-Cola Company, with the latter responsible for manufacturing and distributing the product. This partnership allowed Nestea to leverage Coca-Cola's extensive distribution network, significantly increasing its global reach.

Products[edit | edit source]

Nestea offers a variety of iced tea products, available in both ready-to-drink and powdered formats. The brand's product range includes Green Tea, Lemon Tea, and Peach Tea, among others. Nestea's iced teas are known for their refreshing taste and are often consumed as a healthier alternative to carbonated soft drinks.

Marketing and Advertising[edit | edit source]

Nestea has been known for its innovative marketing and advertising campaigns. The brand's "Take the Plunge" campaign, which encouraged consumers to dive into a world of refreshment with Nestea, is particularly notable.
