Neuroeducation
Neuroeducation, also known as Educational Neuroscience, is an interdisciplinary field that combines neuroscience, psychology, and education to create improved teaching methods and curricula. Neuroeducation applies our understanding of how the brain works in educational contexts.

The concept of Neuroeducation was first proposed in the late 20th century, following advances in neuroscience that allowed us to understand more about how the brain learns. The term "Neuroeducation" was coined by the Johns Hopkins University School of Education and its Brain Science Institute in 2008.
Principles[edit | edit source]
Neuroeducation operates on several key principles. Firstly, it acknowledges that the brain is highly plastic and capable of changing and adapting in response to stimuli. Secondly, it recognizes that learning is a social process and that the brain is a social organ. Thirdly, it emphasizes the importance of emotion in learning, as emotions are integral to the processing of information.

Neuroeducation has been applied in various educational settings to enhance learning and teaching. It has been used to develop strategies for teaching children with learning disabilities, to create more effective learning environments, and to improve teaching methodologies.
