Neuronal sprouting
Neuronal sprouting refers to the process by which neurons form new axonal or dendritic branches to make new connections with other neurons or to replace lost connections. This phenomenon is crucial for neuroplasticity, which is the ability of the nervous system to adapt to changes in the environment, learn new tasks, and recover from injuries.
