- Nowthen is a city located in Anoka County, Minnesota, United States. The city was incorporated in 2008 and is one of the newest cities in Minnesota. It is a rural community with a population of approximately 4,500 residents. The city is known for its peaceful environment, friendly community, and beautiful landscapes.

- Nowthen is located in the northern part of Anoka County. The city covers a total area of 35.47 square miles, of which 33.27 square miles is land and 2.20 square miles is water.

- As of the 2010 census, there were 4,443 people, 1,472 households, and 1,170 families residing in the city. The population density was 133.6 inhabitants per square mile.
