Objective measures are made in a process involving a minimum amount of human interpretation, for example measurement of height.

Quality metric[edit | edit source]

Objectivity is, along with reliability and validity, an important indicator for the quality of an instrument.

Independent of the person measuring the data[edit | edit source]

It refers to the fact that the results yielded by the instrument must be independent of the person measuring the data - different people using the same instrument should come to the same results.
