- Ogallala, NE is a city located in Keith County, Nebraska, United States. It is the county seat of Keith County and is known for its rich history and vibrant community. The city is named after the Oglala Sioux tribe, a branch of the Lakota nation.

- Ogallala was first settled in the late 19th century as a stop along the Union Pacific Railroad. The city quickly grew as a hub for cattle drives from Texas to the railhead. Today, Ogallala's history is preserved in its many historic sites, including the Boot Hill Cemetery and the Mansion on the Hill.
