Opium fürs Volk is the eighth studio album by the German punk rock band Die Toten Hosen. It was released in 1996 and is considered one of the band's most successful albums. The title translates to "Opium for the People," a play on the famous quote by Karl Marx, "Religion is the opium of the people."

The album was recorded in 1995 and 1996 and produced by Jon Caffery, who has worked with the band on several previous albums. The album's themes revolve around social and political issues, reflecting the band's punk rock ethos.
