Otter Creek Brewing was founded by Lawrence Miller, who started the brewery in the basement of the Junction restaurant in Middlebury. In 1997, the brewery moved to a larger facility to accommodate the growing demand for its beers. In 2002, the brewery was sold to Wolaver's Organic Brewing, which continued the tradition of brewing high-quality craft beers.
