Outlook on the web

Outlook on the web (formerly known as Outlook Web App or Outlook Web Access) is a webmail service of Microsoft Outlook and is part of the Microsoft 365 suite of products. It allows users to access their email, calendar, contacts, and tasks from any device with an internet connection.

Outlook on the web was first introduced as part of Exchange Server 5.0 in 1997. Initially known as Outlook Web Access, it provided a web-based interface to access Exchange mailboxes. Over the years, it has undergone several updates and rebranding efforts. In 2015, it was rebranded as Outlook on the web as part of the Office 365 suite.

Outlook on the web offers a variety of features designed to enhance productivity and collaboration:

  • Email Management: Users can send, receive, and organize emails. It includes features such as email filtering, spam protection, and email encryption.
