Ozark County is a county located in the southern part of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the population was 9,723. The largest city and county seat is Gainesville. The county was organized on January 29, 1841, and named for the Ozark Mountains, in which it is situated.
Geography[edit | edit source]
Ozark County covers an area of 755 square miles and is bordered by Douglas County (north), Howell County (east), Fulton County, Arkansas (southeast), Baxter County, Arkansas (south), Marion County, Arkansas (southwest), and Taney County (west).
Demographics[edit | edit source]
As of the 2010 census, there were 9,723 people, 4,057 households, and 2,831 families residing in the county. The population density was 13 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the county was 97.4% White, 0.2% Black or African American, 0.5% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 0.4% from other races, and 1.4% from two or more races. 1.8% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

Ozarks Medical Center[edit | edit source]
Ozarks Medical Center is a system of care encompassing a 114-bed acute care hospital, 8 primary care and 15 specialty clinics, along with complete rehabilitation and home care services. They are a not-for-profit medical referral center with over 1100 employees, serving an 8-county area in south central Missouri and north central Arkansas.
Gainesville Health Care Center[edit | edit source]
Gainesville Health Care Center is a skilled nursing facility offering comprehensive healthcare and rehabilitation therapy. Their services include 24-hour nursing care, comprehensive wound care, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
