PDQ
PDQ (Physician Data Query) is a comprehensive cancer database developed and maintained by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). It provides peer-reviewed summaries on cancer treatment, screening, prevention, genetics, and supportive care, as well as a range of other topics. The database is designed to make the most current, credible, and accurate cancer information available to health professionals and the public.
Overview[edit | edit source]
PDQ is a free resource that offers comprehensive information about cancer treatment, prevention, screening, and supportive care. It is designed for health professionals and the public. The database is maintained by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The PDQ database contains summaries of the latest published information on cancer prevention, detection, genetics, treatment, supportive care, and complementary and alternative medicine. Most of the summaries are available in two versions: one for health professionals and another for patients and the public. Both versions provide current and accurate cancer information.
