- Palmetto is a city located in the southwestern region of Fulton County, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area and is known for its small-town charm and rich history. The city was incorporated in 1854 and has a population of approximately 4,488 as of the 2010 census.

- Palmetto is located at 33°31′N 84°40′W. The city has a total area of 4.7 square miles, of which 4.6 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water.

- The city was named after the Palmetto Regiment of the Mexican-American War. It was incorporated on December 20, 1853. The city has a rich history that is preserved in its historic downtown area and its many historic homes and buildings.
