Paul O'Neill (racing driver)
Paul O'Neill (born 31 December 1979) is a British racing driver and motorsport commentator. He is best known for his participation in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC).

Paul O'Neill was born in Widnes, Cheshire, England. He is the half-brother of the singer Melanie C, a member of the Spice Girls. O'Neill developed an interest in motorsport at a young age and began his racing career in karting.

O'Neill started his professional racing career in the Renault Clio Cup in the late 1990s. His performance in the series earned him recognition and paved the way for his entry into the British Touring Car Championship.
British Touring Car Championship[edit | edit source]
Paul O'Neill made his debut in the BTCC in 2001, driving for the Vauxhall team. He quickly established himself as a competitive driver, securing several podium finishes. In 2002, he achieved his first BTCC race win at Oulton Park.
O'Neill continued to race in the BTCC for various teams, including Team Dynamics and Tech-Speed Motorsport. Despite facing challenges, including a diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes, he remained a prominent figure in the championship.

After stepping back from full-time racing, O'Neill transitioned to a career in motorsport commentary and analysis. He has worked as a commentator for ITV Sport's coverage of the BTCC and has been involved in various other motorsport broadcasting roles.
