Pearland is a city located in the state of Texas, United States. It is a part of the Houston metropolitan area and is situated in Brazoria County. With a population of approximately 122,460 as of 2020, Pearland is one of the fastest-growing cities in the state.

Pearland was founded in 1894 by Witold von Zychlinski, a Polish nobleman who named the town after his hometown in Poland. Initially an agricultural community, Pearland experienced significant growth in the 20th century due to its proximity to Houston.
